Privacy Policy

FileCraft is built around a simple principle: your files are yours. We never see them.

Last updated: June 2025

The Short Version

We collect no personal data. Your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser. We have no servers that receive your files, no analytics that track your behaviour, and no cookies that follow you across the web.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

FileCraft does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • The files you upload or process
  • Your name, email address, or any other identifying information
  • Your IP address (beyond what any standard web request involves)
  • Your device fingerprint or browser characteristics
  • Your usage patterns, tool history, or session data

2. How File Processing Works

Every FileCraft tool runs entirely within your browser using JavaScript. When you select a file:

  • The file is read into browser memory using the FileReader API
  • Processing happens on your device (CPU, GPU), not on a remote server
  • The output file is delivered directly to your browser's download system
  • The file is removed from memory when you close the tab or navigate away

At no point does your file travel over the internet to our servers, because we have no file-processing servers.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

FileCraft does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.).

Your browser may store cached versions of our static assets (JavaScript, CSS, images) for faster repeat visits. This is standard browser behaviour and contains no personal data.

4. Third-Party Services

FileCraft is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and performance purposes as part of their infrastructure. This is subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We load fonts from Google Fonts (self-hosted). No external font requests are made at runtime, so Google does not receive any data about your visit.

5. Children's Privacy

FileCraft does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Our service does not require registration or personal information of any kind.

6. Changes to This Policy
