By using FileCraft, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: June 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FileCraft (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FileCraft provides a suite of browser-based file processing tools including image compression, PDF manipulation, and developer utilities. All processing occurs locally in your browser. No files are transmitted to our servers.
3. Free to Use
FileCraft is provided free of charge. No account registration is required. There are no usage limits imposed by FileCraft (though your device's hardware capabilities may limit what files can be processed).
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use FileCraft to:
- Process files that you do not have the right to process
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service in a way that could damage or overburden it
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable law or regulation
5. Your Files and Content
Since FileCraft processes files entirely within your browser, we never receive, store, or have access to your files. You retain full ownership of all files you process using the Service. You are solely responsible for the legality and appropriateness of the files you process.
6. Intellectual Property
The FileCraft application, including its source code, design, and documentation, is licensed under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it in accordance with that licence. Refer to our Open Source page for details.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular file can be processed successfully. Results may vary by file type, browser, and device.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILECRAFT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Always keep backups of important files before processing them with any tool.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
