Configure the silence threshold (in decibels) and minimum silence duration to control what gets removed. This tool is perfect for cleaning up podcast recordings with long pauses, trimming dead air from voice memos, and tightening up audio recordings. What is minimum duration?
Silences shorter than this value are kept. Set to 0.5 seconds to remove only long pauses, or 0.1 seconds for aggressive silence removal.
Will it remove breathing sounds?
Possibly, if breathing is below the threshold. Start with a higher threshold (-20 dB) and adjust down if too much is preserved.
